This page should be divided into chapters or at least some headlines should be added in order to make it more clearly arranged. I just wanted to know how to create an initramfs, i already knew that i wanted to make one, and i still had to read the whole article to get the information i needed. --Totycro 10:44, 2 June 2008 (PDT)

I don't think that the part about ruining arrays by moving disks between systems is accurate. AFAIK, the kernel compares superblock UUIDs and only assembles matching disks. So after moving an auto-RAID disk to a new system it will get assembled into its own array (if enough disks are present to make it possible depending on RAID level). So the worst it could happen would be bumping former arrays around and changes their device number. Annoying but not a disastre. Wirespot 05:00, 18 November 2008 (PST)
