Teera Garcia is Big Data Systems at Tracers. He manages and organizes enterprise-wide, long-term technology-driven projects for the business, determining and implementing needs and wants that are aligned with the company's business strategies and provides overall tactical direction for those innovations. With the outstanding support of a team of superb software developers, he plans, directs, and coordinates operational activities at the highest level of technology management. Teera has more than seventeen years in system, network and security management, three within executive management. Before coming to Tracers, Teera was a Principal Consultant at a large mutual fund investments firm in the Boston area, where he coordinated incident management, problem resolution, and trained technical support staff on over 120 custom in-house applications used across multiple business practices and by intra-department technology groups. In recognition for his creative and collaborative contributions, Teera earned Fidelity Investments' Outstanding Service Award.
Prior to his six years in the finance sector, Teera was a Network Technologist at GTE's Data Network Operations Center in Tampa for two and a half years supporting GTE's National Router Network. In a previous life, Teera proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps as the Material Control NCO for an aviation attack squadron. He was duly recognized for migrating his entire unit from a paper-based maintenance shop to one that was nearly paperless, which earned him the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, one of the Armed Services’ highest awards for singular distinguished service toward accomplishment of the unit mission. Teera earned an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Computer Engineering Technologies from Tampa Technical Institute, where he held various offices in their fraternity, including chapter President.
